Alexander's First Birthday

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY ALEXANDER KENT!

We spent the entire weekend just celebrating YOU! Breakfast was your favorite...cheesy eggs followed by peanut butter pancakes.

We let you open your first gift after breakfast and I think it was safe to say that you were excited. And apparently the wrapping paper was tasty :)

After nap we surprised you by bringing light-up balloons into your room. Since any type of light, lamp, flashlight, etc. is pretty much your favorite thing in the world it was so fun to see how in awe you were.

Then you got dressed and we headed out to Soma Gård...basically a farm theme park here in Norway. It was a hit!

You got to feed the goats...

 Go on a tractor ride... 

Hang out with more goats...

Then try to chase them...

We must have spent 3 hours there and you "oooooh"ed the entire time. You LOVE animals so it was the perfect place for you to explore and experience animals up close and personal!

Then we headed home for cake and your first "Happy Birthday" song!

You were pretty excited about having a cake all to yourself but not exactly sure what to do with it!

Finally we gave you a fork and you ate like a civilized person...well, sorta :)

Happy first birthday to my favorite straw-chewing, tractor driving little viking. As your dad said, you can take the boy out of the country but you can't take the country out of the boy.
